The boy is currently working on the project to bring high speed rail service from Chicago to St Louis. They are replacing ties and ballast along this route. We rode route 4 to Hamel, then 140 over to Alton and Godfrey. From there we rode to Carlinville and Girard. We took a couple country roads that were less than ideal but we still had a fun end of season ride.
